THE RESCUE FOR PTSD
The Rescue for PTSD is an all-volunteer, 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose mission is to adopt and train shelter/rescue dogs to be psychiatric service dog partners for military veterans suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder to aid in the restoration of their emotional and physical independence.
Military.Finance sponsored our first canine in August. Her name is Independence. She will be trained to meet the specific needs of her veteran partner. We look forward to enriching the lives of many veterans with this continued partnership.
For Veterans
If you are a Veteran suffering from PTSD and feel a psychiatric service dog will improve the quality of your life, please fill out and submit the Introductory Application Form found here. A Rescue representative will then contact you to continue the conversation about a potential partnership with one of our service dogs.
